Upon further searching I find another potential slave. This one far more realistic looking, and endearing in appearance to the fools who walk this mortal coil. Here I experiment with riding upon it as a possible sea mount. (25) |
In better light. My minion needs to be flogged for her failure to capture me at my best at all times.

Better yet, her hands cut off for failing to take crisp, clear pictures. In the end, I rejected this mount. Far too "cute" for my own tastes. And thus I quit Ketchikan. It was a horribly pure place, despite the tourism and such. Too small, as well, for me to bother with. (27) |
The next day I slept in, unwilling to observe Tracy Arm, which was completely uncivilized, and thus far my chances of seeing anything eaten by a bear proved quite low. Later we arrived in Juneau, a city more to my liking with more development. However, my minion chose to dwell at the library through most of the visit, checking e-mail. Feh. (28) |

This view shows more of the very soggy weather that met the tourists in Juneau. When I heard that my efforts had caused excursions to be missed, I laughed so hard my coffee came out of three of my tentacles. (29) |
I was pleased to see my entropic touch had not failed. This antique road machine fell apart in my presence.

This monument proves that slaves will take any chances for their master. Miners, one of the riskiest jobs out there and they do it for me. I'll forgive them this monument.

With poor weather and aching body, my minion thought it be a treat to offer me as a sacrifice to this effigy. I obviously prevented this, and punished her severely by forcing her to buy candy at a local shop. Then we left Juneau. (32) |

The furthest north destination on my tour would be Skagway, a frontier town with a sordid past that appealed to me. However, once I got into town, I realized just how many more seedy places I was not going to be able to visit. (33) |
Back before the turn of the previous century, my minions had sent out rumors of gold. This image commemorates the hundreds of thousands of fools who trekked into the wild north. Many never returned. (34) |
||
Before going much further, my minion, bearing
me in my riding harness of honor, decided she needed to check in with the
"folks at home". They were miserable without her. Good. (35) |
She seemed as lost as I. Here she tries to call for GPS assistance and gets told she's in the heart of Orlando. I so love messing with modern equipment.
