Purrzah's Commuting Haiku

In September of 2006 I found myself, after two years of regaining transportation freedom, once again trapped on public conveyances with my car inoperable. My choice of transport included the Sounder, a commuter train from Everett to Seattle, which winds it's way along the Puget Sound Coastline. What I saw on the first day inspired me to write, and these are what were borne of that.

The Blue Heron
I stand still, serene.
No wind, waters move me.
I fly like eagles.

Sea Lion
Bobbing in silver
I swim in the bright water.
Her train rushes by.
